Wildlife Control
When Wildlife becomes a Problem in your Home.
No matter what your issue is, whether it’s rats, mice, squirrels, raccoons, possums, bats, or other vermin, SurGuard will start with the basics. Wild animals need food and shelter just like people. Animals may move into basements, attics, or garages in search of a place to live. They may also be attracted to food such as garbage, pet food, or birdseed. When this happens, it’s not safe for the people or pets in the home or for the wildlife. Wild animals can damage electrical wiring, urinate and defecate in the attic and crawlspace, and destroy insulation. They can also carry diseases like rabies, or parasites such as fleas and ticks into your home. Never approach a wild animal and keep children and pets away from all wildlife since there is a good chance of being scratched or bitten. Since most animals prefer the same food and harborage as we do, here is a few preventative tips you can do to help yourself:
- Know the wildlife around your neighborhood. Their habits, preferences and needs will help you to make daily sanitation and pet feeding decisions.
- Keep your garbage in containers with tight-fitting lids. A metal container may be needed to keep out persistent wildlife.
- If pets are fed outside, empty their bowls after they are finished eating. Store pet food indoors or in heavy-duty containers.
- Install motion detector lighting to deter any unwanted prowlers (also works on two-legged pest).
- Periodically check for openings in the roof, under the porch, or to the basement.
- Make sure pets are up to date with rabie shots.
If you’ve noticed any of the following in or around your home, it’s time to make the call:
— Noises in the attic, walls, or crawlspace
— Burrow holes in the insulation
— Chew marks on wood, water lines, or electrical wires
— Animal feces in the crawlspace or insulation
— Pet food containers or personal items that have been chewed into.
If you’ve lost a night or two of sleep wondering what’s running around in the attic, walls, or crawlspace, here is what SurGuard Exterminating can do for you:
- We will find out how the animals are getting into your home.
- The entrances will be sealed with durable materials like wire mesh or sheet metal.
- Seal all cracks and openings, including holes for wiring. A persistent animal can widen almost any crevice or opening.
- Since many animals enter homes by way of the roof we will trim overhanging branches away from the home.
- All work will be absolutely 100% Guaranteed. If the wildlife return, so will SurGuard Exterminating!
Don’t allow some fly by night company to come in and charge you a fortune and the only thing they remove from your home is your wallet.
With The SurGuard Advantage, you’ll finally get that peaceful night sleep.
