Pest Control
The SurGuard Advantage
Here at SurGuard, we understand each home or business owner is unique, as is their home or business. Our first step in the pest control process is to evaluate your needs on an individual basis. This begins with a process called Integrated Pest Management.
Integrated pest management, or IPM, is a process we can use to solve pest problems while minimizing risks to people, pets, and the environment. IPM focuses on long-term prevention of pests or their damage by managing the environment they live in. With IPM, we take actions to keep pests from becoming a problem, such as by caulking cracks, repairing water leaks and water damage, and eliminating natural harborage sites in and around your home in order to keep insects or wildlife from entering your home. This process leads us to our second step which is formulating a plan for pest prevention.
IPM programs combine management approaches for greater effectiveness. The most effective, long-term way to manage pests is by using a combination of methods that work better together than separately.
Upon completion of our initial evaluation and recommended plan for control, we will discuss your options and how they are best suited to your individual needs. The third step in this process is mechanical, physical, and chemical control. This consists of sealing cracks, correcting water issues, eliminating entry points, trimming shrubs, and the use of a chemical barrier.
The forth and final step is to follow up on a regular basis to insure all methods chosen are currently performing at peak standards.
So no matter your problem, whether it’s ants, roaches, scorpions, silverfish, spiders, rodents, squirrels, bats, or other vermin, SurGuard is here to help. If you live in Canton, Woodstock, Marietta, Ball Ground, or any of the surrounding North Georgia areas, give us a call.
